"My kids and grandkids are coming to town, and we haven't had a family photo taken in years..."

...Robin's voice was filled with excitement, but I could hear a little worry creeping in.  "We'd love some photos of all of us together, and maybe a few different combinations too...but I don't know where to start."

I smiled and told her, "Robin, we've got this.  Just get everyone to show up and we'll handle the rest.  We'll get those classic, beautiful family portraits you're dreaming of, and when the kids get restless, we'll capture those playful, real moments that show who they truly are."

By the end of the session, Robin was elated.  "I can't believe we pulled it off!" she said, laughing.  "You got every single shot we wanted-and even ones I didn't think of.  The kids had so much fun, and we really enjoyed it too!"

Hearing those words is why I became a photographer. Capturing the smiles, laughter, and love that make a family unique is everything to me.  Growing up our walls were filled with family photos and albums bursting with memories.  Every year, we'd add to them, knowing they'd only grow more precious as time passed.

As photographers in Englewood Florida, we love helping families do the same-bringing generations together to create photos that tell their story and will be treasured for years to come.

FAQs
The answers to your most common questions
Why choose Englewood Fl photographers for your photoshoot?
Englewood Fl offers a blend of natural beauty and diverse backdrops, from Englewood Beach to the trails of Lemon Bay Park. It's an ideal destination for creating memories surrounded by the Gulf Coast's stunning scenery. Whether you're looking for an engagement photographer, Englewood Fl wedding photographer or Englewood Fl family photographer - we offer custom packages for every client.
What are the best locations in Englewood for our shoot?
Top spots include:
Manasota Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Stump Pass Beach State Park, and Englewood Beach.
When is the best time for photos?
The golden hour, just after sunrise or before sunset, provides soft, warm light that enhances the natural beauty of Englewood's beaches and parks. For cooler temperatures, early mornings are ideal, especially during summer. As a beach photographer, shoots are scheduled either first thing in the morning or within an hour of sunset. While most families choose sunset, families with young children usually like the morning because their babies are more alert. Florida has harsh light during the middle of the day, so if that's the time you prefer, we need to find a location with trees and shade. As an experienced photographer in Englewood Florida - we'll work together to decide the best time for your shoot.
Do I need a permit for a session on Englewood's beaches?
No. We are lucky that no permits are required for photoshoots or beach weddings.
What should we wear for our family or engagement session?
For beach settings: Light, neutral colors like white, beige, blues or soft pastels complement the coastal surroundings.

For park settings: Earthy tones like olive green, tan and khaki create a natural look.

Comfortable but cute footwear is recommended. At the beach, we'll usually start with photos on a boardwalk before moving to the beach. Once we get to the beach, most families choose to go barefoot.
Can we bring our pets?
Englewood beaches do not allow pets, so you'll have to leave your furry friend home. The parks are pet friendly, so you can bring your animal. Please let me know beforehand though so I'm prepared.
How do you handle weather challenges that may affect our session?
Florida's summer weather can be unpredictable, but rescheduling or adjusting times is always an option. We'll stay in touch leading up to your shoot and if the weather looks questionable, we can decide to try it or postpone (based on availability). In 5 years and hundreds of shoots, I've only had to reschedule twice.
What are some seasonal tips for Florida weather?
Spring & Summer: Wear lightweight clothes and preferably quick dry materials for men's clothes.

Fall & Winter: It can be cool and windy on the beach November through February, so check the daily temperatures and bring a light coat or shawl if it's going to be cool.
How far in advance should I book?
It's best to book at least 1-2 months in advance for family and engagement sessions. For wedding or special events, reserving 9-12 months ahead is recommended to secure your date. All sessions are confirmed upon a signed contract and first payment.
Do you recommend any other activities around town?
Absolutely!
*Enjoy a meal at local favorites like The Waverly and Farlow's on the Water

*For nature enthusiasts, explore the trails at Cedar Point Environmental Park or take a boat ride down the Myakka River

*Rent a kayak or canoe and explore Lemon Bay, Oyster Creek and the canals

*If you're a baseball fan, we are close to the Rays and the Braves spring training fields

*Go on a dolphin cruise or try stand up paddle boarding

*Check out the Farmer's Market on Dearborn Street every Thursday morning from October to May. There are festivals almost every weekend downtown. Although we're know to be a sleepy town, there's plenty to do during your stay.
