MANASOTA BEACH SENIOR SESSION

A few months before their Florida vacation, Joan gave me a call from Illinois. She was planning a trip to Englewood with her family and wanted to schedule a beach session that would serve two purposes, senior portraits for her daughter Grayce and updated family photos to mark this special time together. This Manasota Beach Senior session was doubly special.

We met at Manasota Beach on a beautiful night, with just the kind of soft, glowing sunset that makes beach sessions truly shine. We began near the tree by the picnic tables to get the family comfortable and give them a variety of looks. Then made our way to a stretch of sand and created a space just for ourselves. At first, the whole family admitted they weren’t totally comfortable in front of the camera (which is honestly completely normal). But with a little gentle coaching, some laughter, and a few posing tips, they quickly relaxed and started having fun with it.

Grayce was a natural. Between outfit changes and solo shots, we captured her easy confidence and love for the beach. In between, we switched gears to photograph different combinations of family members, giving Joan plenty of options for frames, albums, and holiday cards back home.

As a photographer, I love when sessions can be both meaningful and practical. While I offer a variety of Senior Session options tailored to your teen, many families choose to make the most of the moment by including everyone, and this session was a perfect example of how to do that beautifully.
