STUMP PASS BEACH ENGAGEMENT

Some proposals are magical, but Frank and Antonia’s Stump Pass Beach engagement session was planned perfectly. Both originally from New Jersey, they didn’t meet until they were both living in Englewood. They built a life they love here in paradise. Frank works with Beach Road Watersports and Antonia manages the Pearl Beach Inn on Manasota Key. After a year and a half together, Frank knew she was the one and started planning the perfect surprise proposal. He’d been nervously hiding the ring in his toolbox for weeks, waiting for the right moment to ask.

To make it extra special, Frank arranged for Mike and me to head out with Captain Brant by boat to the remote stretch of Stump Pass Beach. It’s peaceful, secluded, and perfect for a private proposal. We left a couple of hours before sunset, cruising along the Intracoastal and even spotting a few dolphins playing in the waves before setting up on the Gulf side.

When Frank arrived with Antonia, his parents, and his grandfather (all secretly in on the surprise) everything was ready. The couple strolled along the beach, looking for shark’s teeth and shells, when Frank suddenly dropped to one knee. Antonia’s joyful laughter said it all. She was completely surprised and couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the evening.

They toasted with champagne, soaked in the glowing sunset, and shared their first moments as an engaged couple surrounded by family. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we all climbed back aboard for a relaxing boat ride home. Frank, Antonia, and the family then headed to Farlow’s to continue the celebration over dinner. This was the perfect ending to an unforgettable surprise proposal on Stump Pass.
