SIESTA KEY ENGAGEMENT

Abby and Jared have been together for two years after meeting in college, and a couple of months ago Jared proposed in a quiet, meaningful way that was just for them. Now it was time to celebrate their engagement with photos and share their exciting news with family and friends. A relaxed, joyful Siesta Key engagement session was the perfect place.

We met about an hour before sunset at her parent’s condo complex where the beach was less crowded. Like most couples, they were both nervous at first, which is completely natural. Before we even started photographing, we talked through what they were hoping to get from their session. They wanted a mix of things. Loving and playful photos just for themselves to display in their home. Some classic portraits they could share with family. Plus plenty of small, in-between moments they could use for their save the date cards.

Abby encouraged me to push them outside of their comfort zone, so that’s exactly what we did. I guided them through gentle movement, hugs that turned into laughter, walking hand in hand along the beach, and even a little dancing in the sand. Once they relaxed into each other, everything became effortless. This Siesta Key engagement session was the perfect reflection of who Abby and Jared are together. Joyful, connected, and ready for their next chapter.

Halfway through the session, we popped champagne, sprayed it and celebrated. It quickly turned into one of those moments where laughter takes over and they forget I was there with the camera and ended up spraying me! Time flew by, and before we knew it, the sky began to glow with a colorful afterglow. They weren’t ready to stop when the sun went down. As the colors intensified, they walked into the water, danced together, and Jared lifted Abby high while the waves splashed around them. We ended the session a little wet, but completely full of smiles, laughter, and excitement for what’s ahead.
