MY FAVORITE THINGS

besides photography

  • My family. Mike and I have been married for 24 years. Plus, I’m a grandma to the sweetest boy with and newborn twin grandsons!
  • Traveling the world. I’ve been to all 50 states and lived in 4 countries.
  • The ocean! I taught SCUBA for more than 20 years and I’ve done more than 10,000 dives.

What Makes Me Different Than the Rest

I grew up in Michigan (under the bridge). I’m from a small town in the middle of the Thumb, Marlette to be exact. I went to Western Michigan University and don’t hold the fact that Mike went to The Ohio State University against him.

I start my day with two cups of strong coffee, followed by Wordle, Spelling Bee, Connections and Strands. If I accidentally text you my Wordle score, I apologize ahead of time!

Several years ago, it started as a way of friends gathering every Wednesday, just to get stay connected. So for years, we all put $$$ on the players, and the last person standing wins the pot. It’s less about winning and more about staying connected to our friends.

My husband Mike is an award-winning photographer as well, so he’s with me on most of my shoots. He is my 2nd photographer on wedding days and surprise proposals and assists during large family sessions. Everyone loves him and he keeps the husbands engaged.

I could either say I started REALLY young or hope that I still look fairly young now! My first professional photography and videography jobs were in college, so there you go.

True-to-color, timeless, and heartfelt. I focus on capturing genuine emotion and natural connection in families and couples. I primarily shoot using natural light when possible, but I also incorporate off-camera lighting at sunset to preserve the richness of real skies and our beautiful sunsets. The result is photographs that remind you of the moments that you spent with your loved ones in beautiful Florida.

why I do what I DO!

We get one life, so live it fully.

As a teenager, a close friend was killed instantly in a tragic accident. It taught me that life is fleeting and to value what we have. I realized that there may never be a “next time” or “next year” so appreciate each moment. A few months ago, my father passed away, leaving a bigger hole in my heart than I could have imagined. I look at every photograph I have of him a little different now.

I love photographing people because of that human connection. To capture fathers holding their children and grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary, means everything to me. I want people to have those photographs that remind them of how much they are loved and will be passed down to the next generation.

Behind the Scenes

Scroll to see some fun images of us, working with amazing people! Mike usually captures me from behind, with a silly look on my face but in the age of AI, rest assured I’m a real person. I usually wear my hair up, because I run around on the beach and get hot. I usually wear a black top because it’s easy. And I always have a smile on my face because we’re here to have fun!
