BAY PRESERVE FAMILY SESSION

There’s something so special about watching families grow and being invited to document those milestones along the way. I first met Bonnie several years ago when I photographed her maternity session, and it’s been such an honor to stay part of her family’s journey. When she reached out again, this time for a full family session at Bay Preserve, I couldn’t wait to see everyone and capture this new chapter.

With four energetic children, this Bay Preserve family session was anything but quiet (and I wouldn’t have it any other way)! The kids ran, climbed, explored, and turned every corner of the property into their personal playground. We paused for breaks, promised tree-climbing time, and kept things light and playful so we could capture a mix of classic portraits and candid moments full of real joy and personality.

Bonnie and Nathan wanted timeless group shots but also images that reflected their family just as they are—busy, happy, and full of life. The result was a gallery that made them laugh, smile, and even tear up at the reveal. There’s something powerful about freezing those in-between moments: a spontaneous hug, a sibling laugh, or a quick kiss on the cheek before the wiggles take over again. Bay Preserve in Osprey continues to be one of my favorite family photo locations with its open spaces, beautiful oak trees, and waterfront views that never disappoint.
