BOCA GRANDE ENGAGEMENT

Brandon and Savannah live in Florida, and love coming down to Boca Grande. He called me because he had booked several nights at the Gasparilla Inn and planned to propose during their weekend getaway. He knew that Savannah would want photos, but after talking to her friends, decided he would propose privately on the beach and booked an engagement session for the night after.

The trick was, he knew she had a dress that she’d want to wear for their engagement session on Boca Grande and had to figure out how to pack it without her noticing! He told her they had dinner reservations at the Pink Elephant and to bring some nice outfits to wear, so she packed it herself.

They had beautiful weather during their entire vacation and his proposal went off perfectly on the beach. When he told her he had already booked an engagement photographer for the next night, she was thrilled.

They were dressed and ready to impress when we arrived at the Gasparilla Inn. He had given her three dozen roses the night before and we knew we would photograph them whenever we could. We started at the Inn and took classic photos on the front porch before going around to the back and taking a stroll on the golf course. We loved the bougainvillea’s on BZ’s trellis and they couldn’t resist hopping on the cute bikes the resort has on hand.

We then continued down to Banyan Street, with a quick stop at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. We finished the engagement session on Boca Grande at the beach. He recreated his proposal at the same spot that they had been the night before. We had a Champagne celebration and showed off the specialty flutes he had gotten to surprise her. They enjoyed the perfect sunset to end their night.
