PALM ISLAND FAMILY SESSION

For this Sarasota family, Palm Island isn’t just a vacation destination, it’s part of their legacy. Their connection to the island goes back decades, and although they all live close to one another now, this was the first time all of the grandchildren experienced the place that has meant so much to their parents and grandparents. It made this Palm Island family session even more meaningful, and I was honored to help them capture it.

We all traveled through Palm Island Resort by golf cart, which immediately set the tone for a relaxed session. Our first stop was the boardwalk, where we gathered the whole crew for group portraits. The laughter and closeness of the family made the photos feel natural and joyful from the very start.

From there, we made our way down to Stump Pass Beach, one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots on the island. We took photos by the iconic tree and near the inlet, where the cloudy skies parted just enough to reveal soft sun rays glowing in the distance.

As the youngest family members began to tire out, we returned to their favorite play spot on the beach. That’s when some of the most candid, heartfelt images of the day happened. The kids were laughing, got tossed into the air by their parents, and I captured their giggles as they were completely lost in the joy of the moment.

Despite the cool breeze, the warmth of this family’s love was unmistakable. I’m so grateful I got to document a day that celebrated generations of memories, and the start of a new chapter for the littlest ones. See some of our favorite images from this Palm Island family session below.
