VENICE FISHING PIER SESSION
When Deb’s family started planning their holiday trip to Venice, she reached out because she wanted a beach photo session to capture everyone together. With little ones in the mix, we decided an early morning Venice Fishing Pier session would be just right. Not only are kids usually happiest first thing in the morning, but the soft light at sunrise creates beautiful, flattering tones for photos.
The morning turned out to be overcast, which, as any beach photographer will tell you, can be a real gift. Without the harsh sun, we were able to explore more of the beach without squinting eyes or chasing shade. Plus, we practically had the entire stretch of sand to ourselves. The soft cloud cover gave us a natural lightbox feel, making every photo look cozy, calm, and timeless.
We moved easily between playful moments and classic family groupings, making sure to capture a variety of shots for Deb to enjoy and share. From grandma to toddlers, every smile was relaxed and genuine. This Venice Fishing Pier session was a great reminder that you don’t need sunshine to create magic. You just need a little love and a setting that lets people feel like themselves.
Morning sessions do start early (we’re talking sunrise early!), but they’re always worth the effort. When you pair peaceful surroundings with happy, well-rested little ones, the results are always something special. See some favorite photos from their session below.
