VENICE FISHING PIER SURPRISE PROPOSAL

Luke and Lexi had been dating for about a year and a half and he knew that she was the one. They planned a Spring Break trip with his brother to come to Venice, Fl for a week and he decided that’s where he wanted to propose. Luke’s mom called me to help plan the surprise and come up with the perfect location. We decided on Service Club Park because of its privacy and he wanted to wait until their last night in town because he knew she’d be excited to get home to share the news with her family and friends. With Luke’s brother as our main contact, we had all the details worked out. Then Mother Nature changed all of our plans!!!

Mike and I arrived early to the parking lot and watched the storm cloud come in and the sky open up. With a downpour expected for the next couple of hours, we quickly changed the plan so that Luke could propose under the Venice Fishing Pier. This would keep them dry while protecting our camera gear as we captured the moment. Luke, Lexi and brother Jake walked under the pier where we were set up and kept going!

It had stopped raining and Luke decided to propose by the pier, not under it! I started moving as soon as I realized what he was doing and between Mike and I, we captured every moment. Lexi’s surprise was genuine! She had no idea that tonight was going to be the night she’d say “YES” to the man of her dreams.

With the storm passing, we experienced the most brilliant sunset, and empty beach. We took photos until dark and they continued their celebration at Sharky’s on the Pier afterwards.
